Time Is Of The Essence? I've never really been able to justify that statement, and believe me, I've often struggled with this very concept late into the night when sleep certainly would have been more appropriate. "Nonetheless . . .", as Dr. Victor K. Frankel once said. (Dr, Frankel is one of the most highly renowned experts in the field of existential psychology. His specialty is dealing with the problems that arise from the internalized concept of "nothingness".) Having said this, Dr. Frankel then turned his attention to other matters.
Returning, however, to my dilemma, we find that in spite of our innate desire to struggle with such deep seated psycho-philosophical questions, most of us will spend our time taking the kids to school, working overtime, and checking for lumps in ours and occasionally others' breasts. In fact, with the spread of herpes and aids on the rise, most people will rarely find the time to contemplate metaphysical, existential, or even vaso-constricting timeless questions that may one day prove to be entirely fit for prime time television and radio consumption.
Naturally, I'm not being critical you understand, but merely reflecting upon the possible ramifications of one day waking up dead and realizing only then that you had never really contemplated death or its meaning. Thus, leaving you in a meaningless world for the rest of your death. Pretty mortifying when you think about it, huh?
Nevertheless, in a society so chalk-full of innuendoes and pseudo-intellectual babble; I am convinced more than ever, of the absolute accuracy of the statement originating this garbage...
